Is Panda AI free?
Yes. The app is free and open source. Panda AI models run on your STRONG account according to your plan; external providers (Codex, Claude, Cursor…) are optional with your own subscriptions.
Which Panda AI models are available?

Do I need an API key for Panda AI?
No. Just sign in with STRONG. Keys are only needed if you want to connect an external provider such as Codex or Claude.
Does my data leave my machine?
The app runs locally and stores data on your machine. Agents talk to their providers directly from your device according to each provider’s settings.
Can I control it from my phone?
Yes. The app runs as a local server and you can connect from a browser or the mobile app on the same network or over Tailscale.
Do I need to install Codex or Claude separately?
Panda AI wraps provider CLIs. Some are bundled, others install on first use. Guidance appears inside the app.
